Training

Our land based training routine includes circuit training, weight training, concept 2
rowing, and cycling. This is complemented by time on the water rowing Gigs, and
a borrowed Atlantic boat.

As the race approaches we will be stepping up our use of the rowing machines,
and trying to simulate, as much as possible, conditions on the boat. This will
mean rowing for two hours at a time, as often as possible through the day. We
will also be going out to sea in increasingly challenging conditions, for long periods of time.

With 4 months to go until the race starts, we are all very mindful of the hard work
that we need to put in, both physically and mentally.
